Requirements to Become an FBI Agent in Minnesota

Basic Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 23 years old and under 37.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Candidates should have a valid state driver’s license.
  • At least three years in a related field is necessary to apply.
  • You must also have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Additional Requirements

Additional requirements for FBI agents in Minnesota will involve a detailed background investigation. Applicants are expected to undergo an extensive review of their personal, professional and medical history. This includes interviews with friends and colleagues, along with credit and record checks.

Additionally, a fitness test, polygraph test and drug test must be passed in order to be considered for the job. Applicants have up to three chances to pass the physical fitness test.
